Accompaniment in the form of activities and discussion by a companion
Accompaniment by an Amika companion offers valuable assistance in carrying out fun activities and sharing quality time with elderly people who are alone or losing their independence, particularly those suffering from neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's.
This service can be provided at home or outside. For example, our companion can accompany the person being cared for to their favorite park, offering a watchful arm to guide them and ensuring their safety. If the person being cared for resides in a facility offering recreational activities, our caregiver can encourage and support them in their participation.
Our companions at Amika are specially trained to support the elderly. They understand the various cognitive disorders and adopt a tailored approach to promote harmonious collaboration.
This task is usually integrated into a more comprehensive home support, such as cognitive stimulation , assistance with exercising and staying active , meal assistance and light housekeeping . Amika can also offer a 24/7 presence and continuous monitoring service , in the event that the person being helped cannot remain alone.
Our rates vary depending on the length of your visit and the geographic area. Whether you need our services for an hour or for entire days, our team of caregivers is here to support you. Additionally, financial assistance is available for our services. Feel free to contact us to learn more about our rates and financial assistance options.
