Assistance with exercise and staying active

Our service for assistance with exercise and movement is designed for seniors of all autonomy levels who wish to remain physically active with the goal of maintaining their fitness or to help recover from an injury.

At Amika, our Caregivers are here to support individuals in performing exercises prescribed by healthcare professionals such as physiotherapists and doctors. If no specific exercise program is presented, we may offer simple physical exercises, indoor or hallway walks within the home or facility, outdoor strolls, or even accompany individuals to gym workouts. However, never anything overly strenuous that would place the senior at risk.

Assistance with exercise is typically scheduled for sessions lasting between 30 to 60 minutes. This service is usually integrated into a broader home care support system, such as activities and discussion, meal assistance and light housekeeping. Amika can also provide live-in care for cases where it has been determined the individual cannot be left alone.

Our rates vary depending on the duration of the visit and the geographical area. Whether you need our services for an hour or entire days, our team of Caregivers is there to support you.

Financial assistance is available for all our services. Feel free to contact us to learn more about our rates and financial aid options.
