Companionship with activities and discussion

Amika's companion-based support provides valuable assistance with engaging in recreational activities and sharing quality moments with elderly individuals who are alone or experiencing a progressive loss of autonomy, particularly those with neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and dementia.

This service can be provided both at home and outside. For example, our companion can accompany the individual to their favorite park, offering a supportive arm to guide them and ensure their safety. If the person resides in a facility that offers leisure activities, our senior companion can encourage their presence and accompany them during participation.

Amika's senior companions are specially trained to accompany older adults. They understand the finer points of various cognitive disorders and employ an appropriate approach to foster (nurture) a harmonious collaboration.

This task generally complements a more comprehensive home care support, such as cognitive stimulation, assistance with physical exercises and staying active, meal assistance and light housekeeping. Amika can also provide live-in care for cases where the individual cannot be left alone.

Our rates vary depending on the duration of the visit and the geographical area. Whether you need our services for an hour or entire days, our team of Caregivers is there to support you.

Financial assistance is available for all our services. Feel free to contact us to learn more about our rates and financial aid options.
