Assessment of your needs

We talk to the assisted person and the family members to assess the needs and preferences: health condition, routine and tasks, preferences on the Caregiver to be assigned, desired schedule, etc.

Caregiver(s) assignment

We assign Caregiver(s) who best fit your needs and preferences in order to build a trustworthy relationship. Of course, you have a word to say in the assignment process. We look for the perfect match!

Getting started

Services start based on the personalized care plan with the assigned Caregiver(s). It is flexible and can be adapted as needed. You pay per hour. No commitment - you can cancel at any time.

Amika Caregivers provide assistance for all daily activities

We adapt to the daily routine and provide various degree of assistance so your loved one can maintain his autonomy. All activities can be combined in the same service and done by the same Caregiver.

Meal preparation & eating

From assistance or full completion of healthy meal preparation to assistance with feeding.

Personal care & hygiene

Assistance with bathing and toileting – always professional and respectful.

Dressing

Assistance with dressing/ undressing: underwears, clothes, stockings, shoes, etc.

Assistance with mobility & staying active

Support to keep you moving inside and outside the house. Assistance with exercises preferably prescribed by a healthcare professional.

Light housekeeping

Assistance or full completion of light housekeeping tasks including dusting, washing dishes, taking out the trash and sweeping & washing the floors.

Transportation & shopping

Transportation to medical or any other appointment. If it's for shopping, we can also help you plan or do it all for you.

Medication reminder

Timely reminder to take medication, drink water, and other daily wellness needs.

Continuous monitoring, 24/7

Physical presence of an Amika Caregiver to monitor and act upon any potential risks. Can be done 24/7.

Companionship and cognitive stimulation

Doing activities, games, building friendships, fellowship, and community or just talking. Can be adapted to clients with cognitive losses.
